Aloha!

It really was a pleasure to serve the people of Hawaii and, especially, the residents of the North and West Shores of Oahu in the Hawaii Legislature from 2010 to 2022.  I am happy to have supported the will of our community on nearly every big issue over the past two decades. Community members from every corner of our large district say I always showed up, listened, and got involved when needed.

With the help and support of many wonderful folks, we had some big wins and effectively influenced decision making.  We halted the massive development plans at Turtle Bay, we changed the political climate from unlimited tourism and illegal vacation rentals to limiting visitor impacts, we saved Kawaihapai Airfield, we remained steadfast in protecting our agricultural lands, near shore waters and conservation lands, and we fought for justice in locating alternative energy projects.

I am humbled and grateful for the kind words that are shared with me on almost a daily basis, and it is flattering so many want me to get back in there.  However, my time as a politician is over.

A wise man once said, "Life is not a dress rehearsal - this is probably it. Make it count."

I will stay engaged on various community projects, but I am really looking forward to traveling and spending more time with Liz.

I'll see you around.
